We'd like to welcome Kelle Goodding as the City's first year-round Parks Director. Many of you know Kelle from her many years of service in East Prairie schools as a teacher, coach, and in other roles. As we re-structure how we manage our City's parks and recreational opportunities, we are confident in Kelle's ability to lead our efforts to provide better services to the people of the greater East Prairie area.

Kathie Simpkins Park offers two walking tracks, a stocked pond, sports leagues, ample shelter space, and other recreational opportunities.  
We recommend reserving a shelter, to ensure a space for your event.

Accessible Spinner

The Spinner in Kathie S. Simpkins Park has been specially equipped for use by a disabled child. One seat in the Spinner has been fitted with brackets, to which a harness may be attached. The harness is designed to secure a disabled child into the Spinner, and it may be adjusted to the size of the child. This harness is available for check-out at the police department during all park open hours.

    • AE Davis Park - 801 N. Martin St

    AE Davis Park offers RV parking, shelters, and playground equipment, and is home to the Municipal Swimming Pool. Use of shelters is on a “first come, first serve” basis.

    RV Parking fee is $20 per night, and includes all hook-ups.
