IMPORTANT CITY ANNOUNCEMENTS


During the regular Board of Aldermen meeting last Thursday, February 9th, the Board voted unanimously to close the lobby of the Administration Building on Fridays each week and utilize the drive-thru only for utility payments. This will be effective Friday, February 17, 2023. The drive-thru is available during normal working hours Monday thru Friday. There will be someone in the office working during normal business hours on Fridays to process drive-thru payments and answer telephone calls. The drop box and online payment system will always be available 24/7 for anyone wishing to make payments by those options. If you have any questions regarding the policy, please call 573.649.3057, extension 5.




Receiving water assistance tonight and hope to have LOW PRESSURE water overnight. 1-2 days for full pressure.  Please conserve usage until that time

REPLACED.

Employment Recognition

Radio Dispatch William Dorris and Police Officer Andy Sitzes were recognized for 5-years of service to the City of East Prairie and residents.

Attached are photos of years of service pins and certificates that Mayor Pro-Tem and Alderwoman Jennifer Grissom presented to employees. Not pictured but also receiving pins were James Cartwright, Radio Dispatch-5 yrs, and Steven Maynard, Public Works-5 yrs. Ricky Trentham, Daniel Gifford, Sr, Steven Woollums, Lori E. Lemons and Donna Byassee are in the photos.

Improvements to the pond walking path at Kathie S. Simpkins Park are now complete. The improvements include sealing of the path, patching of deteriorating areas, and a new bridge. We will add benches along the path in the Spring. We hope that the improvements enhance your enjoyment of the facility! Congratulations to the Public Works Department for their excellent work on constructing the new bridge!
